“Kedarnath features an all-too-familiar love story, that gets a boost thanks to the climactic floods that devastated civilization in the mountain town of Uttarakhand, in 2013. The screenplay has its strengths and weaknesses, but through the crest and trough of dramatic waves, what stands out as a solid force is young debutante Sara Ali Khan. Her first performance on celluloid has the right amount of fire to spark a connection with the audience.”
2. NDTV: 2/5 by Saibal Chatterjee. Visit sitefor more
“The strong impression that the newcomer makes is despite the fact that neither she nor her principal co-star look anything other than two well-groomed, coiffured, manicured Bollywood stars who’ve been airdropped in a town where they can only stick out like sore thumbs. The lines they speak are at times unintelligible but one cannot be sure if that is because of faulty dialogue delivery or uneven sound levels in the theatre. Any critical judgment in this respect will have to wait for another viewing of the film.
3. Koimoi: 2/5 by Umesh Punwani. Visit sitefor more
“Whenever Bollywood doesn’t get anything to evoke the emotional connection in their paper-thin love stories, a religious, controversial, forced connect takes birth in the script. Same is the case with Kedarnath. It’s 2018 and we’re over thousands of love stories, Kedarnath offers nothing new. The only fresh things in this story lie somewhere in the first half & rest of the story is just another tale with the backdrop of a natural disaster. It would be unfair to blame Abhishek solely for this mess because the movie is uninteresting from the script level itself. Kanika Dhillon’s story is full of flaws, hence making the film as an unbearable watch. People who will compare this with Titanic, PLEASE DON’T mock the classic. The backstory of Mansoor’s dad works very well until the makers decide to ruin it at the very last minute.”
4. Taran Adarsh : 2/5 in his twitter account.
OneWordReview…#Kedarnath: DULL. Unconvincing love story… Sketchy and unexciting screenwriting… Few moments [sequences depicting the floods] stand out… Emotions are superficial… Sara Ali Khan makes a terrific debut… Sushant is ordinary… #KedarnathReview

Kedarnath Story:
“Mandakini aka Mukku (Sara Ali Khan) is a feisty, young girl living in Kedarnath with her family. Her father (Nitish Bharadwaj) is a local priest and things get complicated when Mukku falls in love with a muslim boy and local pithoo (human porter) Mansoor (Sushant Singh Rajput). While the inter-faith romance between characters of different faith forms the core of the story, no one anticipates the other life-changing event, that is about to take this holy place by storm
